Do you believe in magic?
Childhood is supposed to be a magical time. When a child is born with a congenital condition or diagnosed with a serious illness, the magic of childhood can be overshadowed by the worry of being sick.
At Coastal Kids Home Care our pediatric clinicians are experts in taking care of kids. While their clinical skills are unmatched, it is their talent for relating to children and teens that makes their care exceptional.
Coastal Kids partners with local pediatric specialty hospitals to bring children home to high-quality health care. For some kids, like Emma who was born with a complex congenital heart defect, access to in-home shift and palliative care keeps her healthy, and out of the hospital, and offers peace of mind to her parents. Emma benefits from weekly music therapy sessions too. When the music starts, Emma’s enhancing smile lights up the whole room.
At Coastal Kids Home Care our pediatric nurses, social workers, and therapists specialize in caring for kids and easing the worries of parents. Each day of the year, with the help of our donors, they bring a little bit of magic into the homes of kids with medical complexity.
This holiday season, believe in magic.

MCGIVES!
The Big Idea
The mental health of our children and teens continues to decline and our community is ill-equipped to respond. Families from low-income, Spanish speaking areas often face significant obstacles in accessing care for their struggling children. Coastal Kids Home Care is here to help. Our licensed therapists offer one-on-one and group therapy support for children ages 4-21 with mild to moderate mental health issues.
Our team offers expertise in a broad range of mental health issues including grief, post traumatic stress, anxiety, and depression. They are experienced in different modalities of care which respond to the cultural, linguistic, and developmental needs of the child and their family. Your support through MCGives will underwrite the cost of our King City location, intake coordination, and the activities and materials that therapists need to meet each child where they are at and guide them toward healing.
It is still sometimes sad talking about my grandma, but therapy has also made it easier to talk about her. I feel like me and my mom can miss her together and talk about her and I don't feel alone in my sadness of missing my grandma.
